🌯 Chipotle Night Fundraiser Tomorrow Nov. 10!
On Wednesday, November 10, order Chipotle and support the JVF PTSO! From 4-8pm, 33% of all orders placed using our promo code will count toward our fundraiser! 📚 Fall Book Fair Success!
Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Fall Book Fair! In total we raised $500 for the JVF PTSO! Your purchases supported both our school and a local, independent business. In addition, all of the teachers received $100 gift certificates, so our classrooms are full of brand new books! The money raised will go directly back into the JVF community: for example, we will use some of these funds to purchase books for kids who join the school book club run by Mrs. Coleman. Thank you also, of course, to Michael and Heidi at Split Rock Books for all of their help, and to our Literacy Chair, Kristen Holt-Browning, for organizing!

😊November 13th Is World Kindness Day
The Equity Team has been encouraging students to spread kindness at JVF through kind notes and chalk art. You may have seen these inspiring messages around school! Kind Notes are an initiative organized by the non-profit organization Ben's Bells, whose mission is to teach students intentional kindness. Kind Notes are a quick and easy way to practice kindness. Your child can still write and send some in for display!

📕 Book Nook
The Book Nook is a free resource for all JVF students. Remind your kids to stop by the Nook, just outside the nurse's office, to check it out! Kids can take as many books as they wish and they don't need to be returned! Special thanks to our Literacy Chair, Kristen Holt-Browning, for spearheading this great program!
Mark the Marker Recycling Program
All year long our students and staff will be collecting used Crayola and Non-Crayola brand markers, Dry-Erase markers and Highlighters. We will ship what we collect to Crayola for free recycling! We encourage families to participate by sending in your used plastic markers from home. Look for MARK the MARKER, our collection box, located at the main entrance! Thank you for helping JVF do our part to protect the environment. Special thanks again to PTSO member extraordinaire Margaux Lange for spearheading this program!
